Crossing into reality: surveys, hypotheses & decision records

Simulation evidence now crosses into the real world and back: author surveys from contested findings and import real responses next to the predicted distribution, stamp falsifiable hypotheses before reality answers, record decisions with their evidence — and hand any report over as a self-contained shareable bundle.

Until today every Sonaloop artifact presented simulated evidence inward. This release adds the family that crosses the boundary: instruments that go out to real people, predictions that reality gets to score, and records of what you actually decided.

Surveys — the first artifact that collects

  • Author a survey from the graph itself: the brief gathers open questions and contested council findings — the places where a real-world answer is worth the postage.
  • Export a self-contained HTML form that runs from a plain file link, send it anywhere, and import the responses back (JSON or CSV) with every answer validated against the instrument.
  • Scale questions can map onto the canonical stance scale, so the detail page shows the persona-predicted distribution directly above the real one — the calibration picture at a glance.

Hypotheses & decisions — the audit trail

A hypothesis stamps "we predict X on metric M" before reality answers, then a recorded result derives the verdict mechanically — validated, refuted or inconclusive — keeping both raw values. The scorecard aggregates the hit-rate per project: the first sim-vs-reality calibration record. Decision records close the loop on the other end: what was decided, on which cited evidence, rejecting which alternatives — with supersede links when a decision is revisited.

Shareable report bundles

Any report now exports as a read-only static bundle under an unguessable token directory: the exact inspector document, every asset inlined, zero external requests. Host it on any static share — the link is the handoff.

Improvements

Inspector

Surveys, Hypotheses, Decisions and Sessions now live in the library sidebar with cross-project list pages (sessions moved down from workspace — they are produced primitives like councils).

Hypotheses

Verdicts are immutable once scored, and bets can be dropped without entering the scorecard.

Exports

Project plan and report exports gain a Decisions section with live citations.

Fixes

Surveys

CSV re-imports without timestamps no longer double-count responses; export paths are contained to the data directory.

Share bundles

Figures with special characters in their filename inline correctly; oversized media leaves a visible note instead of a broken or bloated document.
